Brummel 5e653ff536 iter ct.1.5a-followup: forall-constraints recursion + docstring + drop iteration-tag comments
Three Minor items from the ct.1.5a quality review:

1. normalize_type_for_registry now recurses into
   Type::Forall.constraints[].type_, symmetric to walk_type. Closes a
   latent gap: a Forall with bare cross-module constraint types reaching
   the registry would have produced a key disagreeing with the qualified
   form. RED test: ct1_5a_normalize_recurses_into_forall_constraints.

2. Documented the bare-name limitation on Registry::type_def_module:
   two modules each defining 'type Foo' collide at insert; the proper
   fix (re-key as (owning_module, bare_name)) is out of ct.1's scope.

3. Removed the four iter-tag explanatory paragraphs at the
   normalize_type_for_lookup call sites (check/lib.rs check_fn,
   mono.rs three sites). Replaced each with a one-line pointer to the
   helper's docstring per project comment policy.

Brummel 000b84dda7 iter ct.1.1: validator scaffolding + Type::Con canonical-form rules
Adds BareCrossModuleTypeRef / BadCrossModuleTypeRef / QualifiedClassName
to WorkspaceLoadError plus the validate_canonical_type_names function
that enforces the canonical-form rule on every Type::Con name reachable
from any def (including Term::Lam.param_tys / .ret_ty and Term::LetRec.ty).
Term::Ctor.type_name and class-name fields land in Tasks 2 + 3; the
validator is not yet wired into load_workspace (Task 6). Seven RED-first
unit tests cover the cases enumerated in spec section Testing strategy
plus a Lam-embedded-type smuggle-prevention test.

main.rs gains diagnostic arms for the three new variants to keep the
exhaustive match compiling.

Brummel 7289bbc9d4 iter 23.2.3-prep: reconcile workspace tests with auto-loaded prelude class Eq
The auto-loaded prelude (iter 23.2 work-in-progress) injects
`class Eq` plus three primitive instances (Eq Int, Eq Bool, Eq Str)
into every workspace. Five workspace::tests assertions broke against
this new baseline:

- iter22b1_missing_method_fires_diagnostic
- instance_without_superclass_instance_fires
- instance_overriding_nonexistent_method_fires
  Their fixtures redeclare `class Eq` (and `class Ord` in one case),
  which now collides with the prelude. Renamed each fixture's
  `Eq`/`eq` -> `TEq`/`teq` and `Ord`/`lt` -> `TOrd`/`tlt`, matching
  the scheme already used in the two earlier-renamed test_22b2
  fixtures. Method `ne` stays (does not collide). Assertion strings
  in workspace.rs updated to match.

- iter22b1_workspace_with_no_classes_has_empty_registry
- iter22b1_instance_in_class_module_loads_clean
  Their asserted registry counts assumed an otherwise-empty registry.
  Rewritten to filter by `defining_module != "prelude"`: the property
  is "no NON-prelude entries" / "exactly one fixture-owned entry",
  not raw count.

Doc comments updated alongside each assertion change so the rationale
for TEq/TOrd (collision avoidance) is local. No production code
touched.

Brummel b252f837af iter 22b.2.6: fix — structural Origin enum, fn-fn collision delegation, test path helper
Address quality review of a9aa248:

- Replace string-prefix discriminator (`prior.starts_with("class ")`)
  with a structural `Origin { Class | Fn }` enum; `kind` is now a
  `match` on variants, formatting is reserved for error construction.
- Fix fn-fn collision misreport: in the `Def::Fn` arm, only fire
  `MethodNameCollision` when the prior origin is a class. Two
  `Def::Fn` with the same name are `CheckError::DuplicateDef`'s job
  in `ailang-check`, not this pre-pass.
- Tests use `examples_dir()` like the rest of the module; path
  construction is no longer ad-hoc.
- Tests assert `first_origin` / `second_origin` so an origin-format
  regression cannot silently break the `kind` discriminator.
- Drop forward-looking 22b.4 prelude reservation note from the
  variant doc — keep only what's load-bearing for 22b.2.

Brummel 057784934a iter 22b.1.3: registry coherence-check fixtures + tests
Adds seven fixtures under examples/test_22b1_* exercising the
workspace-load coherence checks plus four positive/negative tests in
ailang-core/src/workspace.rs:

- iter22b1_instance_in_class_module_loads_clean: positive case;
  test_22b1_orphan_class.ail.json declares Show + instance Show Int
  in the same module (the class's). Registry has one entry.
- iter22b1_orphan_instance_fires_diagnostic: declares Show in
  test_22b1_orphan_third_classmod, declares instance Show Int in
  test_22b1_orphan_third (a third module). Fires OrphanInstance.
- iter22b1_duplicate_instance_fires_diagnostic: per the JOURNAL hint,
  module A defines class Show + instance Show MyInt (legal, A is
  class's module), module B defines type MyInt + instance Show MyInt
  (legal, B is type's module). Entry imports both. Fires
  DuplicateInstance with first/second_module distinct.
- iter22b1_missing_method_fires_diagnostic: class Eq with two
  non-default methods (eq, ne), instance Eq Int specifies only ne.
  Fires MissingMethod { method: "eq" }.

The surface round-trip gate (ailang-surface/tests/round_trip.rs)
filters out test_22b1_* fixtures because the Form-B parser arms for
ClassDef/InstanceDef are deferred to 22b.4. Without the filter, every
fixture's printed text would re-parse-fail on the unknown `class` /
`instance` head.

Test count: 291 → 295 (4 new workspace tests, all green).

Brummel eb4db9dafc iter 22b.1.2: workspace registry skeleton + coherence checks
Adds the workspace-global typeclass instance registry per Decision 11
"Resolution and monomorphisation". Built at the end of load_workspace
after the DFS over imports completes; keyed by (class-name, type-hash)
where type-hash uses the new canonical::type_hash (16-hex prefix,
parallel to def_hash and module_hash).

Three coherence checks fire from build_registry, each surfacing as a
distinct WorkspaceLoadError variant:

- OrphanInstance: `instance C T` not in C's or T's defining module.
- DuplicateInstance: two entries share the same (class, type-hash) key.
- MissingMethod: instance omits a required (non-default) method.

The CLI's workspace_error_to_diagnostic is extended with the three new
codes (orphan-instance / duplicate-instance / missing-method).

All existing Workspace { ... } construction sites get the new
`registry` field, defaulting to Registry::default() at synthetic /
test-only paths and threading through ws.registry.clone() at codepath
sites that already hold a real workspace.

Includes hash-stability regression tests (iter22b1_schema_extension_*
and iter22b1_classdef_empty_optionals_hash_stable) and the empty-
registry positive test against examples/sum.ail.json. Test count:
288 → 291 (3 new tests, all pass).

Brummel c90926dbba Iter 13d: rustdoc polish for ailang-core + new docwriter agent
Adds ailang-docwriter to /agents/ — a recurring role for keeping
crate-, module-, and pub-item-level rustdoc accurate. First mission:
ailang-core. Crate root, every module root, every pub item documented;
intra-doc links throughout; Iter-13a additions (TypeDef.vars, Type::Con.args)
get an explicit backwards-compat note. Two stale broken-link warnings in
ailang-check fixed in passing. cargo doc --no-deps now warning-free across
the workspace; promoted to verification invariant 6 in DESIGN.md.

Brummel 7577ab8a90 Translate project content to English
Make English the project-wide language: all comments, string literals,
CLI help text, design docs, journal, agent prompts, and README. Only
CLAUDE.md (the user's own instruction file) stays German, and the live
conversation between user and Claude continues in German.

Adds a new "Project language: English" section to docs/DESIGN.md as
the durable convention. No logic changes — translation only. Four
internal error strings in the typechecker were retranslated; no
test asserts on their wording.

Verified: cargo test --workspace passes (44/44).
