Promoted from a deferred exposure-overlay idea to Stage-1 foundational (#117, C10): the protective stop DEFINES the risk unit R (1R = the loss if stopped), so it is the keystone of R-based signal quality, not a deferred overlay. Scope: the stop-rule node that sets the protective stop the Sizer sizes against. The wider protective-exit family (take-profit / trailing / time-stop) follows as overlays once the stop-rule lands.
